I was thinking we could all get to know each other a little better by sharing stories. I guess I'll start. Lex's post about bad tribe names reminded me of this particular story.
When I was in 4th grade, I had a teacher whose name I would always mispronounce the whole school year. Her name was Mrs. Contichelli. But I would always mispronounce it, and call her a very very bad word. I remember she would correct me and say her name correctly over and over, but no matter what I would always end up saying "Mrs. Cuntichelli". I honestly did not even know what I was saying at the time, I swear.
A few years ago ran into Mrs. Contichelli at the mall, and she recognized me. I said "Mrs. Contichelli, do you remember me!?" this time pronouncing her name the right way, cause I know better by now, least I should! I will never EVER, forget her response though.
"Yes I remember you, you're the kid who called me a cunt the entire school year, I'm glad you finally learned to pronounce my name right even if it took you over a decade"
I nearly died laughing right there. Mrs Contichelli was the most awesome teacher ever! ;D
