Sausage Island 4: Fans vs. Favorites!
This season is very exciting for us. For the first time, past players will be returning to the series as the favorites. Eleven previous players who fell just short of All Stars due to various reasons, but all deserve another shot at the game. Some have scores to settle and past grudges, all feel they have something to prove and will stop at nothing this time around.
Going up against them are the fans. Eleven very eager players, many of which have been watching the series from the sidelines since the very beginning. Each one has been waiting for the right time to play. Now that the have it, they'll be sure to prove their worth.
Top Sausage is of course back. Each round, myself, Brett, and the PW's will rank you all based on a combination of confessionals, activity, entertainment, strategy, challenge strength, and social skills. One player each round will earn the Top Sausage spot, which of course will be anonymous until after the game. Be sure to impress us with your activity, confessionals, and gameplay if you wish to place highly!
By now, you've all hopefully had some time to get to know each other and use your confessionals. Tonight, the game will officially kick off with your first challenge.
Before that, let's get onto the first twist of the season...
The H.M.S. Salsus.
A brief history lesson!
Long before we established this island as the base for this series, the island had a troubled past. The H.M.S. Bounty was a British Royal Navy ship just off the coast of the island, when a mutiny took place. The captain of the ship and his loyal crew members were sent away on a small rowboat, while the mutineers burnt the ship on the shore and settled on the island.
The wreckage of the Salsus still remains here on Sausage Island. This is where our twist comes in.
Each round, someone will be sent to explore the wreckage of the Salsus. The way that we determine who is sent will change from round to round.
What treasures may lay hidden in the wreckage? I think we all know the answer. Not one, but TWO Hidden Immunity Idols reside there. As you all know, HII's may give you extreme power in this game. It is something that you desperately want, and perhaps more importantly, something that you do not wish to fall into the hands of your enemy.
Here's where it gets fun!
Two players will be sent to Salsus each round, one from each tribe. The fun part? If these two even want a shot at unlocking one of the chests containing the HII, they'll need to work together.
A task awaits the two exiled players, along with a clue. However, before you're able to attempt to solve the password with the clue, you and your competitor will first have to work together to complete a task.
The clue you two receive will lead you to the password to unlock one of the chests, but it will take some thinking. Whether you decide to work together on deciphering the clues is entirely up to you, but only one of you will ultimately unlock it and find the HII.
Will you sabotage or forfeit the task in order to prevent your enemy from potentially finding a Hidden Immunity Idol? Or will the two of you be able to work together towards a common goal? And what will your tribemates think of you working with the enemy? Salsus will raise many questions.
The info for round one of Salsus will be revealed later tonight. Until then, your first challenge will be posted at 8:30. The game has officially begun.
